Start from the scenario, not the sensor

A good selection starts with the scene to perceive: robot speed, stopping distance, critical obstacles, mounting height and safety constraints.

A datasheet is not enough unless it is tied to the expected field behavior.

FoV, density and latency

A wide vertical FoV helps perceive the floor, ramps and close obstacles.
